First Grade Program
What to expect from the First Grade Program:

Over the past seven years, I have found that first graders are very passionate about patriotism. It's not difficult to bring them to the verge of tears while singing a hearfelt Veteran's Day song or get them stomping to the beat about being Amercian. They have a near innate sense of pride for their country.
So I choose to build on this enthusiasm with their grade level concert.
Most programs last about 30min and consist of 5 or 6 songs with a common theme. Students are chosen a few weeks before to read short passages that introduce and connect the songs.

March **, 2015 6pm, Simpson Gym
Students are asked to wear very simple attire: blue jeans, a white t-shirt, and a red or blue bandana, which will be tied loosely around the neck. Some will be asked to read a passage during the performance. Copies of these passages will be provided the night of the concert. Please, plan to have your child in the Simpson cafeteria between 5:30 and 5:45pm so we can warm up, tie shoes and bandanas, and get into order for the performance.
